Resumen

The primary objective of this comparative investigation is to examine the perspectives of Thomas Aquinas, who represents the classical theistic tradition, and John Peckham, who represents the canonical approach, on the concept of Divine immutability. This study examines the historical contexts of the theologians, analyzing the factors that influenced their individual perspectives on the matter. The investigation of Aquinas' and Peckham's texts conducted in this research is comprehensive, focusing particularly on the presentation of their distinct ideas rather than offering novel insights. The research findings primarily center around three key domains, namely: (1) Methodology; (2) their perspective on the relationship between philosophy and the Bible; and (3) the concept of immutability.
